Who is Equine Assisted Empowerment (EAE)?

Thank you for visiting. My name is Stephen Pruzick, or Steve. I am an Honorably Discharged Veteran, I have served as an Emergency Medical Technician, a Firefighter, a Police Officer, and a Heavy Rescue Specialist. And I received my degree in Psychology.

For several decades, hanging above my desk, is a saying that has guided my adult life, "Life is a Recipe... And Every Day an Ingredient". To me this means that everything I have done, experienced, felt and said, has made me who I am today.

I accomplished these things despite having a learning disability, that while I was growing up, was misunderstood, labeling me as "lazy', "stupid", "unmotivated" among other things. Each of these things, in addition to adding to my "recipe", have left a mark, a memory and/or a scar. I was left with an anger management issue, depression and PTSD. To face this I turned to the healing and comfort of horsemanship. In 2009, I walked away from the positions, that while extremely rewarding, were adding to my deterioration. This however, left me minus the direction that I had become dependent on, and moving from one chapter to another in what I was beginning to believe was an endless quest.

Then in mid-2018, someone sent me a newspaper ad for an Equine Assisted Life Coaching program. I read the ad and felt an odd peace and "ah-ha moment". A few days later, I called Pam Hunter, the Principal at Unbridled Life Coaching, and spoke for a considerable amount of time. I had to meet with her and find out more.

We met, talked, had lunch and after our time, were in amazing complete agreement that this WAS the next chapter and end to my quest. Since that time I have "interned" with her while pursuing my own certification. She has offered guidance and support to help, not only with my certification, but with facing my demons. Even more confirmation that I am on the right track, finally. I have committed to becoming certified and offering the Equine Assisted Coaching to those with the similar background and challenges I face.
